This lovely original mews cottage is in the Belford area, just a 10 minute walk from Princes Street and right next to the very picturesque Water of Leith path. One double and one single bedroom are complemented by 2 armchairs that convert into single beds in the livingroom.

Gas central heating keeps this property cosy. A plug-in internet connection is available for guest use.

For larger groups there's the opportunity to additionally use The Belford as this property is in the same street (Belford Mews).

Local Area

The property is located in the Belford area near the West End of Edinburgh. It is around a 10 minute walk to the west end of Princes Street or Haymarket.

Given its proximity to Princes Street the property has easy access to all areas of Edinburgh either on foot or via the excellent bus services in the city.

A few minutes walk from Belford Mews takes you to the Dean Gallery (bottom left photo) where you can view works by the father of pop-art, Eduardo Paolozzi. Across the road from the Dean Gallery is the Gallery of Modern Art where you can view some of the finest art from the likes of Bacon, Lichtenstein, Polke, Warhol, Picasso and many others.

Princes Street Gardens (5 minutes walk) provides excellent free entertainment in the form of concerts throughout the summer months. For those wanting to venture further afield the bus station and both train stations are withing easy walking distance (15 minutes).

Water of Leith walkway is right on your doorstep and this very picturesque walk can take you to the lively and trendy Stockbridge area (10 minutes walk), port of Leith (3 miles) or up to the foot of the Pentland Hills (8 miles). The walkway is popular with joggers, artists and people out for a quiet, relaxing stroll through what is typical Scottish lowland scenery in the heart of the city. Cycling is allowed on these paths and the Water of Leith connects up to Edinburgh's cycle path system which goes all round Edinburgh. Visit the remains of a Roman garrison at Cramond or the fabulous Leith Jazz Festival in May.
