This is a lovely, fresh and bright apartment celebrating the splendor of the Edwardian era. Huge rooms, ornate cornices and the best view of the Castle in Edinburgh (in our opinion), all just minutes away from Princes Street. You really can't be any closer to the centre of Edinburgh!


Facilities

The large Drawing Room/Dining room looks straight up to Edinburgh Castle. It retains many of the original features - intricate cornices and working shutters. The room is equipped with a large digital TV, DVD and Hi-Fi system.

There is a selection of books, DVDs and CDs and a Wireless Internet connection is available for guests to use.

A dining table for 6 is situated in the window area and looks up to the Castle. Just imagine eating dinner in front of this view!

The Kitchen is equipped with a gas hob and electric oven, microwave oven, toaster, kettle, fridge, freezer, dish washer and washing machine/drier.

It also has a breakfast bar area with stools for 4.

Double Bedroom 1 is to the rear of the property and has a zip and link super kingsize bed allowing flexibility with either a super-kingsize or twin beds - just let us know your requirements. There is an en-suite showerroom/WC off this bedroom.

Double Bedroom 2 also has the flexibility of zip 'n' link beds - double or twin, your choice!

There is also a fold-up bed and/or inflatable bed should they be required. Just let us know.

The Main Bathroom has a white suite and has a shower over the bath. Natural light flows in from the velux window on the roof.

Local Area


The property is located off Lothian Road on Castle Terrace only 5 minute's walk from the West End of Princes Street, Edinburgh's main shopping fare. It is also a 5 minute walk to the heart of the Old Town.

It is ideally located for theatre and cinema with the Usher Hall, Lyceum Theatre and the Traverse all within a minute's walk. The Filmhouse (showing foreign and arthouse movies) and the Odeon are just 2 minutes away.

Princes Street Gardens (5 minutes walk) provides excellent free entertainment in the form of concerts throughout the summer months. For those wanting to venture further afield the bus station and both train stations are withing easy walking distance (15 minutes).

The EICC and Edinburgh's financial district are just on your doorstep.

Whatever your reason for coming to Edinburgh, The Castle Terrace has to be amongst one of the top locations for accommodation.

Short breaks from 2 nights upwards are available, although minimum rentals of 3 or 4 nights will apply during Christmas/New Year, Easter, rugby internationals and August.
